I was first introduced to stop-motion with my favorite childhood show, Pingu. My love of animation took me to Parsons School of Design where I earned a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Film Production. I began my career in 2D animation and then moved into the world of 3D where I fell in love with stop-motion and created my first short film “Bare King”. Soon after, I completed “Birthday Boy” and "Elephant in Ivory", each film I wrote, directed and built the puppets and sets by hand. All three premiered at festivals around the world and won several awards including the 2018 Windgate Fellowship Award that allowed me to travel to workshops and build upon my fabrication skills.
By spending a lot of time hand sculpting my puppets and sets, when it comes time to animate them I feel I have developed a strong connection with my characters and their stories that I am excited to share with my audience.
